→ EMERGENCY EXITS
There are two well-marked Emergency Exits on your floor as a precaution. Locate them on the plan in your room and locate your own position, before you actually have to use them.
In case of an emergency you will be notified by members of the Emergency team. Please observe their instructions.
→ IF YOU DETECT A FIRE
Inform the hotel telephone operator or the reception desk immediately, then:
- Activate the nearest alarm.
- If you are qualified extinguish the fire without endangering yourself.
- Remain calm.
- Observe the instructions given by the Emergency team.
- Do not use the lifts.
→ IN CASE OF FIRE
- If you encounter smoke, keep your face as close to the ground as possible. Crawl if necessary.
- Try to reach the nearest fire escape.
- Do not use the lifts.
→ EVACUATION
Should it become necessary to evacuate the hotel please carry out the following procedures:
- Leave your room and close the door.
- Do not waste time collecting your luggage.
- Use the nearest emergency staircase.
- Observe the instructions given by the Emergency team.
- The staff of the Emergency team will show you where to wait. Please do not move from this area.
- Do not use the lifts.
→ IF YOU CANNOT LEAVE YOUR ROOM
Always keep calm. The security service will come to your aid as quickly as possible. While waiting please do the following:
- Advise about your position by telephone or draw somebody’s attention on the balcony or terrace.
- Fill the bath with water. Close the door gaps and ventilation shafts with wet bed clothes or towels.
- Open a bit the window to get some fresh air and disconnect the air conditioning.
→ IF YOU NEED SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
If your physical capacities are limited please inform the reception staff on your arrival or as soon as possible.
REMEMBER
Most fatal accidents are caused by inhalation of fumes or toxic gas, not by burns. Keep your face to the ground whenever you detect fumes, however slight they may be.
→ PRECAUTIONARY ADVICE
Of course we hope that it will not be necessary to observe these instructions, but be prudent. When you enter any part of the hotel, observe where the emergency exits are and the security regulations.
